Christian Collantes is a Founding Partner at Steck Tapia Collantes Abogados. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos and holds an LL.M. in International Arbitration from the Universidad de La Rioja (Spain), as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Commercial and Investor-State Arbitration from American University Washington College of Law.
With over 10 years of experience, Christian has participated in more than 400 arbitrations—under the rules of ICSID, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), UNCITRAL, the Lima Chamber of Commerce (CCL), AMCHAM, and others. He has served as both counsel and arbitrator on local and international levels, and is accredited by the leading arbitration centers in Peru, Mexico, Panama, Chile, Bolivia, and Paris. This extensive background has provided him with a 360-degree perspective on dispute resolution management.
Furthermore, Christian is a renowned specialist in Construction Law and an active member of the Dispute Resolution Board Foundation (DRBF). He provides legal counsel on Dispute Boards for highly complex public and private infrastructure projects governed by FIDIC, NEC, and G2G (Government-to-Government) contracts.
He is a prolific author with an extensive academic output in books, national and international journals, and the press, and is a frequent speaker on topics within his field of expertise. Additionally, Christian is a member of the most prominent international arbitration and construction law associations, including ICC YAF, Rising Arbitrators Initiative (RAI), ICDR Young and International, the Peruvian Society of Construction Law, and the DRBF.
